Screen show showing result of trying to type NOW() into the property field. Name is a field in the attached query for the report being built.

When adding Text box fields to a report being created using the ReportBuilder there seems to be a problem with the Data Field properties field for the Control Properties data tab when the Data Field Type is Field or Formula.

When trying to type a formula in to the field the cursor moves to the start of the field after each character is entered and as a result the input is reversed. for example if you just try to type in NOW() the end result looks like )(WON with part of a field name appended to the end of the string. If you use the function wizard to select the formula it seems to work ok.

This seems to be a similar another bug I came across but since lost track off that was meant to be fixed recently.

Could confirm the buggy behavior.
When setting the cursor Data → Data field and type the first character the cursor will be set on the left. So all will be written reverse.

Have tested it with LO 7.0.4.2, also with LO 7.0.0.3 - this versions will have this behavior. LO 6.4.6.2 won't show this behavior.

I remember there has been something reported nearly the same for form controls. Will have a look.

My system: OpenSUSE 15.2, all LO versions with VCL: kf5.

Have tested it with LO 7.1.0.1 The bug doesn't appear there. It is a duplicate of bug 138701. This bug has been fixed for LO 7.1.0 and also LO 7.0.5.

I will set this one as duplicate.
