Description Peter Toye 2021-01-03 15:11:23 UTC
Description:
I created a writer template with my own default font using the template editor. When I open a document with that template the "default paragraph style" shows the correct font. However, if I click on this style the font changes to the original default font.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit a template with a new font for the default paragraph style and default character style and save it
2. Open a document with that template
3. Check that the default style is correct - see Template1.png
4. Click on the arrow next to the style and select the default paragraph style

NOTE - I have not tried starting LibO in safe mode as that loses my personal profiles.

Actual Results:
The font and size change back to the original - see Template2.png

Expected Results:
Kept the desired font/size

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Thank you for reporting the bug. Please attach your template, as this makes it easier for us to verify the bug.
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' once the requested document is provided.
(Please note that the attachment will be public, remove any sensitive information before attaching it)

Additional informattion: SafeMode starts LO without you personal profile, but it doesn't delete it.

Thanks Dieter. I'll attach a template 'Test bug' once I've worked out where it is.

I realise that safe mode doesn't delete my profile, but it makes my test templates inaccessible as I save them under 'my Templates'!

Attached file has font "Times New Roman". That's the standard.

I've treid to reproduce as follows
1. Open a new document
2. Open paragraph style in sidebar
3. Right click on Default paragraph style => Modify => Select an new font => O.K.

Result: Font changes in document and in font dropdown list, but not in paragraph style preview in the sidebar (but that might be a diferent bug)

4. Save document as a template. (Paragraph Style preview chanes to correct font)
5. Close document
6. Open the template

Result: Can't find a bug in that new template.

I wasn't quite clear enough in my original message. I didn't edit the template as in your steps 1-4, but by the Manage Templates | Edit menu item.

But I've just tried it again and it seems to work and I'm not sure why. So I've changed this topic to 'Resolved'. If I can get it to fail again I'll re-open it.

Thanks for your comments and help.
