Description compi-killer 2021-01-17 12:44:37 UTC
Description:
at least in the german version it is impossible to add the document name.

The office program does not check the document name, as for
field command "title" and field command "document name" it returns both
the name of a blanc new side.
Eventhough I use only the german office desk, it should affect the writer itself,
language independent

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open writer
2.try insert field command "title" or "document name" like I described above
3.

Actual Results:
field command returns the title of a blanc new document

Expected Results:
field command should insert the actual document title

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Did you

1) Save your document (to get the file name initialized for use with respective field)
2) Insert the Title into File -> Properties -> Tab: Description -> Field: Title (to get the Title initialized for use with respective field)

Could you please attach a sample file showing the issue.

point 1: done (even before posting any here)
point 2: wonderful, works...
but what do I need autotext/field command for, if I have to edit
the "read out" source manually anyway?

none such problem at OpenOffice and such,
also not LibreOffice on PCLinuxOS
