Help says: "Select the paragraph style for the footnote text. Only special styles can be selected." Expected Results: A) the apparently don't work at all?. Or at least can't find the place affected B) You don't have preview what those styles entail? And those styles can't be changed anywhere? C)And the names and area which the should apply to don't make much sense to me.. I tested by creating character styles with different colours. Text area is the anchor link among the text and Footnote area is the number seen in the footnote list at the bottom of the page. However, I am unable to change the Paragraph to some custom paragraph style that I created. So it seems to be somehow hardcoded. In bug 123027 comment 9 Justin explained that the whole thing is rather complicated. Should this report be repurposed to be about B or C? And then you could create a separate report for one of them.
