Description j.schnee 2021-01-28 13:59:18 UTC
Description:
When opening an existing document edited with German language settings including captions of figures using the added category "figure" instead of "Schaubild" the existing entries in the list for cross references vanish when inserting a new caption, where I was not able to choose the previously added category "figure". Numbers start beginning from 1 again.

Workaround: changing language settings of the libre office GUI to English.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open existing Document which had no problems with adding captions and cross references before (German as GUI language)
2. insert figure and caption

Actual Results:
3. entries vanish

Expected Results:
3. you should be able to choose "figure" as before reopening the document counting up from the last entry in the list (e.g. "Figure 7: [caption text]" instead of "Figure 1: [caption text]" and you should be able to select from a list of all captions when adding new cross-references to the document

Reproducible: Sometimes

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Thank you for reporting the bug. It seems you're using an old version of LibreOffice. Could you please try to reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ or with a master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html? You can install master alongside the standard version. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.
