Description davidpbrown 2021-01-28 17:18:36 UTC
Description:
With autocorrect options disabled, as much as is possible, pasting of formulas still seems to force fractions and breaks the formulas - and in a way that cannot be easily worked around.

Steps to Reproduce:
Paste from a plain text file "=1/2" to any cell on a new file, with the format already then number:general

Actual Results:
see then "=1⁄2" is made with a Unicode fraction slash U+2044 and not the usual solidus U+002F
and some zero width space U+200B has been introduced as a prefix, which stops it as a formula.

Expected Results:
expected formula to action as 0.5 or worst case default as text but not badly translated.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Repeat this with
"
=0+1⁄2
=9+1/2
"
to see the oddity also that =9+1/2 works - so "=0+" is not a workaround.

Copying from my comment =1/2 and pasting in a new spreadsheet, does reproduce this 7.0.4.2
Perhaps is and obvious bug already fixed, if you're on a later version.

I do the [Help].[Check for updates]="LibreOffice 7.0 is up to date."
and I'd rather stick to stable versions.
