On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today + gen rendering, I don't reproduce this.
Perhaps Windows only?

Anyway, could you give a try at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps ?

@the first steps:

1. About using the latest version:
I tried with the alpha (64 bit version) downloaded from the nightly server, and also the stable version 7.1.0.1 (64 bit version). Both have identical problem.

2. Can it be corrupted user profile?
Every time I install LO, I uninstall the previous version first with CCleaner. (I do NOT restart the laptop after uninstallation, though.) So my user profile is supposed to be new (uncorrupted).

3. Can it be OpenGL?
My Help > About LibreOffice dialog shows this:
User Interface: UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win

My Tools > Options >LibreOffice > View > Graphics output shows that the following checkboxes are enabled (ticked):
1. Use antialiasing
2. Use Skia for all rendering.

The "Force skia software rendering" option is disabled.
Below that, the GUI says, "skia is currently enabled".

I do not know what this means. It does not match the text given in the guide.
Probably this may be a problem (?).

The GUI does not have "Use OpenGL for all rendering (on restart)" option at all. In fact, the word "OpenGL" is not found anywhere in the GUI.

Please advise!

*****

Both crash exactly the same way, on the same laptop having Windows 10, 64 bit.

In fact, I discovered that I made a mistake in the bug description. The revised description is as follows:

The dialog freezes when launched, and after a few seconds, the LibreOffice crashes (vanishes without any error message). We do not get a chance to paste the link at all.

I'm not sure Ccleaner removes LO user profile https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows
so take the time to really apply https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Corrupted_user_profile

OpenGL has been removed in 7.X branch but we keep OpenGL part for the moment in the docs.
For Skia, take a look at https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/FirstSteps#Graphics-related_issues_.28Skia.29

Finally, if you installed specific fonts, please give a try after having disabled them.
