Description Massimo Soricetti 2021-02-01 15:20:51 UTC
Description:
I tried to install Libreoffice 7.0.4.2, but didn't work.
Nearing the end of installation, popups "error 1316 - account already exist" and aborts.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch LibreOffice install using the .MSI file downloaded from the site.
2. The installer warns there are services needing to be stopped and it can't do it, so the machine will be restarted to complete install (warns twice). Click OK both times.
3. Near the end, the error 1316 pops up. No choice but abort install & rewind the system to previous state

Actual Results:
LibreOffice not installed on my system.

Expected Results:
I expected LibreOffice being installed on my system.
I could also expect that installer tells me which account it's trying to use/test/whatever...

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

OpenGL enabled: Yes

Additional Info:
Troubleshooting: I tried to uninstall LibreOffice 6 that was already installed and working.
LibreOffice 6 uninstaller got me the same error. As of now, Libreoffice 6 is missing but menu voices and desktop shortcuts are still here, dangling. Libreoffice 6 executables are gone.

Windows version: Windows 10 1909, build 18363.592
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600

This seems to be a problem with previous installation of LibreOffice. Please try the following:

[1] Uninstall any LibreOffice using system method (probably there is nothing to do here.
[2] Remove any remainders in %ProgramFiles%/LibreOffice (probably this is "C:\Program Files\LibreOffice` (or an equivalent in your language).
[3] Optional: Check %ProgramFiles(x86)% for anything related to LibreOffice
[4] Optional: Fix your registry removing LibreOffice related entries
[5] Try to install LibreOffice
