Created attachment 169373 [details] shows one single frame right aligned.. If I position a frame to the right margin of a page using "frame>type>position>horizontal set to right paragraph.. all looks well, but when i try to move the frame vertically, the frame automatically loses its horizontal right alignment.. It looks the same, and is still positioned in the same place, but the frame properties no longer show it being aligned to the right.. This is inconvenient as I often resize my documents and when doing so, the frames no longer stay on the right margin if they have been moved even just a little....
Thank you for reporting the bug. I can not reproduce the bug in, Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 2c8ffa41ec8e1ab2af95d5e033a445c17d29cf5a CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 18363; UI render: Skia/Vulkan; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_FI); UI: en-US
thanks for the reply Noora.. I'm happy to hear the bug is not in version 7.2.alpha. Is there a way I myself can verify this.. I can't seem to find a downloadable v7.2 to test.. I'm using windows 10 desktop.. and could you kindly verify this is a bug in v7.1 .. because I'm pretty sure this has been a reproducible issue I've been having ever since i began using libreofffice some 10 or more years ago.. thanks..

I can't seem to find a > downloadable v7.2 to test.. I'm using windows 10 desktop.. You can download master build from http://dev-builds.libreoffice.org/daily/master/current.html and install it alongside the standard version. I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the master build.
OK. I just found and downloaded the dev version 7.2 .. I tested this bg on that version, and it is still very much present. If I move the frame up or down, it immediately loses it's right alignment. The frame stays fixed to the right margin, but the properties show it is no longer right aligned, but aligned relative to the left margin..
I also can't confirm it with Version: 7.1.0.3 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: f6099ecf3d29644b5008cc8f48f42f4a40986e4c CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL Mango, could you please ad informations form Help => About LibreOffice? Thank you
that's weird.. Maybe I am not describing the issue correctly, because I clearly see it here.. Let me know if I should reexplain.. Is this the info you are after: version: 7.1.0.3 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build: f6099ecf3d29644b5008cc8f4 Environment: CPU threads 12; OS Windows 10.9 Build 19042 User Interface UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Local: en-AU (en_AU); UI: en-GB Misc: Calc: threaded
Let me try and explain the issue again, as perhaps I didn’t do the best job the first time.. In the attached file, if you double click on the frame, to get the frame properties, then under the tab “type” you will see the position of “horizontal” is “right”. Now if you close that properties box, click on the frame and press down arrow, so the frame moves downward, and then double click on the frame again to get the properties box, you will see that the horizontal position is no longer “right” but “from left” by 11.07cm .. it looks like it is still position to the right margin, but it is actually position relative to the left margin.. which means that wwhen I resize the document, I have to reposition it to the right margin.
Thanks for clarification. It wasn't clear to me that it is about the properties settings (because change is not visible). Now I can reproduce it with Version: 7.2.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 28555fc345ac2ccdda0e4e0f3c812c646befe68b CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: threaded Steps to reproduce: 1. Open attachment from comment 0 2. Select frame => frame properties => tab “type”: position of “horizontal” is “right”. 3. Close that properties box, click on the frame and press down arrow so the frame moves downward 4. Frame properties => tab "type" Actual result: Horizontal position is no longer “right” but “from left” by 11.07cm .. Expected result: Should be still "right" and "To Paragraph Area"
thanks Dieter.. sorry I didn't explain right to begin with..
Dear mango wodzak, To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year. There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present. If you have time, please do the following: Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/ If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice. Please DO NOT Update the version field Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker) Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case) If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so: 1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/ 2. Test your bug 3. Leave a comment with your results. 4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo'; 4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa Thank you for helping us make LibreOffice even better for everyone! Warm Regards, QA Team MassPing-UntouchedBug
