Description Lenge 2021-02-04 13:15:18 UTC
Description:
Beginning with some 7.x version, the LibreOffice logo pictures that appear on the start screen and the "About" dialog appear very pixelated (as if rendered with a very low resolution). Not a big deal concerning functionality, but quite ugly though.

Steps to Reproduce:
Run LibreOffice, then look at the logos in the start screen and/or the "About" dialog.

Actual Results:
Ugly low-res logo pictures

Expected Results:
Crispy sharp logo pictures :)

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I use classic (non-OpenCL, non-Skia) rendering without anti-aliasing, but those options don't seem to influence the logo's appearance anyway.

Are you sure?

I reported bug 136633 with very similar symptom. There, for the logo in About dialog at least, the pixelation is directly related to the anti-aliasing setting.

Just tested again:
(1.) The Skia option has no influence on the rendering of the logo.
(2.) The anti-aliasing option has some influence, but does not fix it:

- Without anti-aliasing, the logos are sharp, but pixelated (low-res).
- With anti-aliasing, the logos are still pixelated (low-res), but also blurry and no longer sharp.

It would be useful if you can also attach a screenshot with anti-aliasing enabled.

You may be experiencing bug 139085.

Looks exactly like attachment 168349 [details] in bug 139085 to me.

Heiko, I believe this is either a duplicate of bug 136633 or a duplicate of bug 139085, or maybe both (but Bugzilla won't let us mark it like that). I'll let you judge as I'm not completely understanding the situation of bug 139085.

To me a duplicate of bug 139085. The images are all SVG and worked well until the patch mentioned in c12.
