Description Martin Trautmann 2021-02-25 09:15:28 UTC
Description:
Where has the Define Data Range gone?

I now can see the data table only. But if I want to extend the range from 250 rows by ten more, how shall I do that now? I can't copy/paste to the data table. I can not even see where the referenced data does come from.

Maybe it's nice to see the data table - but I need to enter a data range again.

You can not even use a cancel dialog for this table, IMHO a clear violation of MacOS user interface directives. You can only use the red close button at the top.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enter a chart
2. use ctrl-click for "right mouse button" dialog
3. look for "Data Range..."

Actual Results:
"Data Range..." is gone,
"Data Table..." is now there, which offers much less options to extend a data range.

Expected Results:
"Data Range..." should be offered

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
I want the "Data Range..." dialog back, both from the "Format" menu and the right-mouse-click dialog.

Sorry, it's not always reproducable.

In fact, within the same document I have one chart which does not offer the Data Range choice. This chart is also messed up because the label rotation at the x-axis does not work.

But another chart on another sheet still does offer the data range choice.

What is the file format?, ods or xlsx.

Can you attach the sample file.
Comment 8 Martin Trautmann 2021-02-25 18:12:06 UTC
It's an ods file.

In can send it to you but I don't want to publish it here.
Comment 9 m_a_riosv 2021-02-25 18:27:21 UTC
Ok, but please try to reduce it at the minimum necessary to review.
Comment 10 m_a_riosv 2021-02-26 08:31:47 UTC
Pls what is the chart with Data table?
Comment 11 Martin Trautmann 2021-02-26 11:17:08 UTC
That's strange, the chart seems to be gone. All others still work as before.
