I want to color cells white protecting sheet. Because the issue is not solved that Calc delete inputted cell when click it. So I protect the sheet as a countermeasure for this problem, but it is inconvenient because the color cannot be painted. So you talk about Tools > Protect Sheet... and request a new option under "Allow all users of this sheet to:" [ ] Change cell background. I wonder if this should be restricted to the cell background color or as well to other attributes, cell styles, and clear direct formatting.

Topic was on the agenda for the design meeting but didn't receive further input. Let's add the option at the protection dialog to change cell attributes except number format as other cells may depend on it.
