Description: When viewing an entry in a simple text cell a funny code appears at the end of the entry e.g. _x005F_x000D_. This is a file exported from Microsoft Office, the funny characters do not appear when viewing in the microsoft excel, nor when viewing in Apple's preview app. Only seems to appear in libre. Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open up a file from a Microsoft Office (excel) export 2.Look in text cells 3. Actual Results: _x005F_x000D_ or other such the like at the end of some text paragraphs. Expected Results: No funny _x005F_x000D_ codes at the end of the paragraph in the cell. Reproducible: Sometimes User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Does not happen in EVERY single entry, but it does happen quite often. Can be reproduced

Hello Derek, The information you provided seems incomplete / needs information. Please do/answer the following things/questions: 1)Attach the screenshots of how the file opens in ms excel versus how it opens in LibreOffice Calculator(LO Calc) ( i.e. 2 screenshots). 2) Does this problem also occur when you export file from software other than ms-excel(such as google spreadsheets)? 3) Is the problem occuring whether you use any format( .xlsx or .ods) or just the ods format? 4) The file you sent, I also opened it on Google Spreadsheets, Microsoft Office and it shows the x000D at the same place as in LO Calc. If I am not wrong, you attached the file from LO Calc (in which the random characters occur) here. That isn't very helpful. Instead, attach a file which wasn't saved into LO Calc( and it should produce random characters as you said, when it will be opened in LO Calc), I am changing the status of this bug to NEEDINFO. If you do the above things, you can change it back to UNCONFIRMED.
