Created attachment 170508 [details] Sample docx file The attached file is generated by our software, the Diametric Safety Case Manager. It displays correctly when opened in MS Word, but the table formatting is broken in LO. Our tables contain row and column spanning. LO shows them with misaligned columns and cell text. We *think* that the generated document.xml is valid OOXML, but we are certainly open to the idea that the problem is in our document generator.
Repro 7.2+ in Windows, so All. Never was fully correct but was changed in 7.0. As in other generated docx cases, Lo opens fine if resaved in Mso. I'll set to New, regardless if docx is really correct. You can do 2 things - attach minimal sample with just one tavle, instead of 12 pages docx - xml compare your docx and Mso resaved one
I bisected change to worse in 7.0 to bug 59274. Laszlo, please see this.
Created attachment 170518 [details] Shorter example docx file As requested, here is a shorter file containing only one table. I've spent quite a lot of time looking at XML diffs. The trouble is that Word makes so many irrelevant changes its not possible to figure out what the important ones are. I can't see any change in the underlying table structure.
