Description: On macOS text is displayed retina sharp due to tdf#138122. Images are still rendered using single precision. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open LO and look at Startcenter's main display without document thumbnails 2. Open e.g. a Writer document with bitmap images emdedded Actual Results: Images are displayed with single precision causing slight blur due to apples upscaling algorithm Expected Results: Images that are available in double precision (retina quality) during rendering are displayed in retina quality. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Implementation earliest after tdf#141063 has been fixed

Hi Thorsten. I don't know, if this issue relates to this bug, but I also experience printing problems in Writer. Exporting documents with graphics to a PDF and printing from there brings sharp results, but printing from LO is pixelated.

So I unarchived the old file and I could see, what was the problem. The problem occurs, when the image is included as a pdf. That happend, because I made a copy + paste from my vector application. LibreOffice will then create a pdf and a png file in the Pictures folder, but it will print the png file, that has a worse resolution. To see what I mean I add a test file.

Issue does not seem to be related to this issue. Printing results are the same with and without retina graphics enabled.

FWIW: the icon quality is really really bad on macOS, however the icon not that crisp on Windows either with a 'regular' low res 23inch 1080x1920. especially noticeable with extra large icons. So suspect multiple problems..
