As the term "master" might be perceived as offensive we should change in the UI. Could be "Global Document". (See also discussion at ESC from 2021-Mar-25)
Just an idea: when you do this, can you please do an atomic change in translations module and Weblate as well? So 100+ translation teams do not have to re-translate the changes.
Dammn, who's driving this nonsense? Just no! There is nothing wrong with a 'Master' document as container for component documents. =-ref-= https://redmine.documentfoundation.org/issues/3442 https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-knodel-terminology-02
Seeking for more input.

It's just a monkey imitation! May be some people in the World just became crazy, but I hope we all in our community still have normal brains.
Can we please put an end to this ridiculous nonsense. There is no justification for this project to join in the bastardization (https://tinyurl.com/yzequ3n2) of the English language. Why do we feel it is critical to make this kind of change, just because someone comes along with some fanciful idea about a word being in some way politically incorrect. Now we will waste time and energy on a pointless debate about inventing an inappropriate, non-nonsensical alternative. If this is approved, we must very seriously consider changing other terms the project uses, like black, brown, red, white, in case there might be someone, somewhere on the planet who finds these terms to be potentially offensive.
Quite uneccessary. A "Master Document" is a perfect term. LibO has nothing to do with slavery.
Quite uneccessary. A "Master Document" is a perfect term. LibO has nothing to do with slavery. Beside, how we deal with the file extension which is currently CMIIW "OpenDocument Master" with .odm extension name?
The foundation called on the AOO to do the "right thing"; I dare to urge everyone to continue to do good things and not change what is good. Thank you for understanding.
Please don't!
No acceptance for the proposal, resolving WF.
