Description: I created a LO Master document. I clicked the toggle button in the Navigator window. It changed the view to the normal (not master) view Navigator, as expected. But when I clicked the button again I could not get back to the Master View. This state persists despite closing LO, re-booting and reopening LO. I cannot get back to the Navigator Master View. I have reproduced this behaviour on two machines. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open (or create) a .odm master document 2. Save the document as a master document 3. Click on the toggle view button in the Navigator - the Navigator window changes to the one for an .odt document. 4. Click the toggle view button again - the view toggles between the short and long views of the normal view but does not revert to the master view. 5. This state persists after closing LO, re-booting and reopening LO. I cannot get back to the master view within LibreOffice. Actual Results: I cannot now return the Navigator window to the Master View. Expected Results: The toggle button should - er - toggle between the two states. At worst restarting LO should make the Master View available. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: When I have posted this report I will try a repair installation to see if that makes the Master View available again and post again. I can't re-boot the system without either posting this or losing it. A repair installation did not fix the issue. Re-boot in Safe mode does. I will re-set my profile which should fix the immediate problem, but since this has happened on two machines it seems likely that the Navigator View toggle is broken in a way which corrupts the profile.

I re-set the profile. I opened a .odm document, and the Navigator opened in Master View. I clicked the toggle button and it changed to the normal Navigator view. I clicked it again and I cannot get back to the Master View. Therefore this is a reproducible bug which is causing corruption to the user profile.
I see this bug as well in Libreoffice 7.1. In 7.0 it works as expected. (Running in Windows10 20H2) Aditional Info: It is NOT the case, that the button to Toggle the "Master" view is not working. The button is just not existing in the Navidator in "Normal" mode anymore. When comparing Version 7.0 with 7.1 it can be seen that the button to toggle the view is normally located on the left of the dropdown in the first line of controlls within the navigator(in 7.0). In 7.1 this Button is just not there anymore. To add to this confusion the button to toggle the view normaly displays the same icon as the button used to "Switch Content View", wich is the leftmost buttton on the second line of controls within the navigator in "Normal" view. So additional to fixing this issue it might be a good idea to create an individual icon for the "Toggle Master view" button.
might be related to bug 140397?

I confirm this is fixed in 7.1.2 - thank you! As someone else suggested, using the same icon for switching from Master View to normal and for switching between Content Navigation Views is confusing - I did not understand that there were two different buttons - because I only ever saw one copy of that icon and assumed it was the toggle.
