installed using the standard fedora repos, OS is Fedora 33 with all the latest updates. I have since done some more research and found [vince@b ~]$ loginctl show-session 2 -p Type Type=wayland Then I tried [vince@bari ~]$ waylandEnable=false soffice -calc Warning: -calc is deprecated. Use --calc instead. this allowed me to copy and paste the cells. So this looks like it may be a wayland issue, but I am not familiar with it. I also noticed that the application loaded a lot quicker, not sure if that is a clue. If you can confirm that it is a wayland issue, then please close this issue.
requested build information below Version: 7.0.5.2 Build ID: 00(Build:2) CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.10; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
Also might be useful for others that have this issue is to edit the desktop file [vince@b ~]$ grep ^Exec /usr/share/applications/libreoffice-calc.desktop Exec=libreoffice --calc %U Exec=waylandEnable=false libreoffice --calc [vince@b ~]$ Although this is not recommended as it may either be lost when updated, or may not be updated by later releases, kind of a no win situation.
Please search for Wayland bugs, see bug 140404 and test daily master.
