Description: LO reliably crashes during Tools->Extension Manager->Check for Updates. Seems insensitive to document opening history or state at the time of Tools->EM launch. No crash in Safe Mode but then again the EM is only single pane and not clear how much Extension functionality is (or should) be active in Safe Mode. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Unpriviledged Windows 10 login 2. Launch LO with/without a doc open. 3. Tools->Extensions Manager. 4. Extensions Manager->Check for Updates Actual Results: 'Check for Updates' double-pane windows opens and upper-right 'Checking...' progress spinner spins for a moment then LO crashes. Expected Results: Not crash. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.1.2.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 8a45595d069ef5570103caea1b71cc9d82b2aae4 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: threaded Open GL disabled. Do you have "online update" feature installed? See bug 132901 (fixed in 7.1.3).
Always see crashes, when opening "Extension Manager" and clicking "Check For Updates" in the welcome screen. Yes, for LINUX. Note my reported issue is on Windows 10 Pro. Regards.
(In reply to R. Bingham from comment #4) > Not fixed. > Options->Libre Office->Online Update has: > Check for updates enabled. > Auto download NOT enabled. > Send OS version and basic hardware information enabled. So your issue is unrelated to tdf#132901. (In reply to R. Bingham from comment #0) > User Profile Reset: No Please try to reset user profile to exclude possibility of profile corruption. Possibly this relates to one of the installed extensions; then it would be necessary to know the exact set of the installed extensions, and try to remove those that were installed manually, one by one, to see which one makes the difference.

After using the Help Wizard in Safe Mode to archive the user profile, manual exploration of user profile tree ~/AppData/Roaming/LibreOffice/4/user/uno_packages/cache/uno_packages revealed 2 stale dirs of LanguageTool extension installs. Removing those dirs and re-installing LanguageTool seems to fix the Extension Manager crash issue.
If the bug is fixed somewhere between 7.1.1.2 and 7.1.3.2, a bibisect should help to find where it is fixed.
Let's close this one as WFM by Comment 9 R. Bingham if you still have the problem, then please reopen the report, thanks
