Description birnbach@posteo.de 2021-04-23 18:14:38 UTC
Description:
On the Mac, a document window has a title. CMD-clicking on it reveals the document path as a vertical list.

Saving a document with "save as..." under the same name to a nuew location will change the document one works on, but the displayed document location remains unchanged.

The problem does not occur if the document title is changed.

Behaviour was verified with Draw and Writer.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a directory A
2. create a directory B
3. create a new LO document and save it under A/name.odt
4. use "save as..." to save the document under B/name.odt
make sure the document names are identical but locations are different
5. CMD-click on the window title to reveal the document path

(optional)
6. type a few words
7. save & close document
8. find out which document was changed (B/name.odt, which is correct)

Actual Results:
step 5: path says A/name.odt

Expected Results:
step 5: path says B/name.odt

Reproducible: Always

I don't think this is a duplicate.

In Bug 125182, the user moves or renames the document in the Mac OS Finder, outside of LibreOffice, and then expects the LO titlebar path to automatically change to the new location. (I think a discussion can be had as to whether this expectation is reasonable or correct.)

But in this bug 141855, the user uses Save As... from inside LO to save to a new location. In this case, it seems much clearer that the title bar should change to the new location.

In any case, these are two different scenarios, and two different bugs. So, I am putting this one back to NEW.

Sorry for the misinformation, I just experienced the old problem with said version.

That is, missing update to the document's title bar upon Save-As still persists as a problem.
