Description: Several Writer documents that display without issue on other older versions of LibreOffice are now displaying black lines across the width of the page. A screenshot is attached. The part of the document screenshotted should be blank (default Writer document background). Scrolling down often makes the lines disappear, but an upwards scroll brings them back. It seems, to all intents and purposes, that only the refreshed screen portion is redrawn in successive small steps, hence the appearance of the lines. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Load a multipage Writer document. 2. Scroll down. 3. Observe presence of lines drawn across width of page, which disappear / reappear as scrolling progresses downwards or upwards. Actual Results: Incorrect screen redrawing while scrolling Expected Results: No redraw issues, smooth display of document. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: Version: 7.1.2.3 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: a393d9064b7eb849da7f488ab43f56a404be32ae CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 11.3; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR Calc: threaded

Alex, have you had a chance to check this in the 7.1.2 TDF build as well? What's the display setup and resolution/scaling used? The bug reminds me of bug 141063, but that was reported for images, and is supposed to be fixed in 7.1.2.

I've not seen this particular manifestation on TDF LO, but there are other tearing / blanking / redraw effects on that, making it harder to determine whether they are all linked or different.

Would be good to track those somewhere as well, eg. there's bug 141729. There were also various duplicates of bug 138122 involving display issues, albeit those should be gone in 7.1.2. This bug should probably be revisited once the various display issues affecting Macs in LO have been fixed.

Whilst I don't see exactly the same large number of lines in current production releases of LO, the problem still occurs, producing large black blocks that sometimes go away when scrolling back up to the beginning of the document, and sometimes do not.
I don't see this problem on Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha1 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: a3c29ae3d906f4692090bd4e5dab29623c66014a CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 12.0.1; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: ru-RU (ru.UTF-8); UI: ru-RU Calc: threaded
Let's close this as WFM, I don't seem to be able to reproduce the behaviour any more in Version: 7.2.1.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 87b77fad49947c1441b67c559c339af8f3517e22 CPU threads: 8; OS: Mac OS X 10.16; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: fr-FR Calc: threaded
