Description: In LibreOffice 7.0.5.2 an extensions update icon appeared in the Menu Bar of my MacBook Pro running Big Sur. I did not know it was a LibreOffice icon for some time because clicking the icon did not identify it as LibreOffice. It also took five or six seconds for instructions to appear. When they did, they merely said (approximately) "Extensions are available for update - click the box for details." Clicking after that did nothing. After a long search I finally tied the icon to LibreOffice and on a LibreOffice wiki page (I think) I found the way to access LibreOffice Extensions Manager. That then showed me the group of extensions it wanted me to update. It required me to update these extensions - it did not give me an opportunity to (1) skip the update or (2) remove the extension without updating. I don't update anything without knowing what it is. I therefore removed all the extensions that had been installed for me for my use. I can't reproduce it because it needs a new instance of extension update and I have no control over that. Steps to Reproduce: 1.See the extension update icon at top of screen 2. Click icon 3. Nothing happens Actual Results: Cannot reproduce - it requires a new extension update to trigger. Expected Results: Click of the icon should clearly identify it as a LibreOffice product and should take me to Extensions Manager, which should give me a choice of updating extension, skipping, or removing extension. It should always tell me what extension it applies to. Reproducible: Didn't try User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: I can't tell if OpenGL is involved as there is no new extension update to trigger this fault. I did not try resetting my profile and can't do it now.
Can you provide an example of an extension that needed update? I'm having trouble finding an extension that offer updates (tested LOx365)

No, sorry, it's been too long - two years. I have included a screen shot of the Libre Office Extension Manager from today. Except for what I wrote in the bug I have no memory of additional facts.

Can confirm. Tested with TexMaths 0.47 that offer 0.50 upgrade, needed to check for updates and "show all updates" two times https://extensions.libreoffice.org/en/extensions/show/texmaths-1 The icon offering extension updates is shown in the menu bar. Clicking on it does nothing, but if you wait 5 seconds it shows some descriptive text I managed to open the extension manager when double clicking on it once, but that is not reliable either At minimum that descriptive text should include the fact that it's LibreOffice extensions Version: 7.5.2.2 (AARCH64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 53bb9681a964705cf672590721dbc85eb4d0c3a2 CPU threads: 10; OS: Mac OS X 13.2.1; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
