Description: This bug report relates to Calc. It is no longer possible to change the cell content displayed in the input line above the table, as newly entered content is always appended to the existing content. The complete editing of cell contents is only possible by double-clicking on the cell itself. That seems very impractical to me and should regain the previous function. I also wonder what is the point of the upper input field at the moment. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a cell with existing content. 2. Place the mouse cursor in the input line at the point that is to be changed. 3. Enter the new content. 4. Push Enter. Actual Results: The new input ist appended at the end of the existing content. Expected Results: The new input should be inserted at the place, the cursor was put. Possibly marked content should be overwritten. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: The new input should be inserted at the place, the cursor was put. Any content that has been marked should be overwritten.
Can't reproduce this. Additional info: Version: 7.1.1.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: fe0b08f4af1bacafe4c7ecc87ce55bb426164676 CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: en-IN (en_IN); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
Please test with a clean profile, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode I have no issue with that, 7.1.3
Bug could be solved by resetting the user profile. Thank you.
