Description Bennett Weaver 2021-05-07 00:01:52 UTC
Description:
In callouts on a chart in LO Calc, the text disappears after the file has been saved and the file is reloaded. This occurred in a large file with multiple links. Extracting a simplified file with no external or secondary sheet references produces the same results. Callouts were entered on the chart. Text was entered into the callouts by double clicking the callout and typing the text. The format of the text can be altered and changes are shown. Exporting the chart as an image works properly. Saving the file and reloading results in the text no longer present.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Add callout to chart. Add text to callout.
2.Save file.
3.after save, reload file.
4.Text in callouts is gone

Actual Results:
Text entered in Callouts was no longer present.

Expected Results:
Text entered in Callout should be present.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

The file with the LO Calc chart with the Callout problem

1 Open the attached file
2 Select the chart to edit
3 double click on a callout balloon and enter text
4 save the file
5 reload the file from the file menu
6 note whether text in callout is displayed. In all attempts is does not for me.
7 Note the images below the chart. These are export as image results from my attempts.
8 The problem I have is that Callouts are useless in this instance for labeling curves on a chart.
9 TIA and good luck. I hope this example is repeatable for all who try it.

Rule of thumb is search before reporting.
This is a duplicate of bug 133827 and, by bibisect, resolved bug 138307. So NOK in 7.0, OK in 7.1.
If test with New LO doesn't repro, test with reported LO is needed.
