Description:
Opening this DOC file should be fast.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Setup VPN to access your corporate network from home
2. Open the attached DOC FILE

Actual Results:
It takes 2mn43s to open the file.

Expected Results:
Almost instant opened file.


Reproducible: Always


User Profile Reset: No



Additional Info:
Opening this file locally is almost instant.
Opening this file converted to DOCX or ODT on the same network is almost instant.

Performance of my VPN:
- transfer rate: 20 MBit/s
- latency : 12 ms

I use Forticlient in SSL mode, but I don't think this is relevant.

It is latency that kills performance.

Hello Côme, a new major major release of LibreOffice is available since this bug was reported. Could you please try to  reproduce it with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/libreoffice-fresh/ ?
I have set the bug's status to 'NEEDINFO'. Please change it back to 'UNCONFIRMED' if the bug is still present in the latest version.

Hello Côme, unfortunately nobody could confirm the problem for more than a year. Perhaps it has been gone?. Since it affects only one specific doc-file (correct?), I've changed importance.

I have a brand new computer (Core i7-12700) with LibreOffice 7.6.2, same VPN as before, with same result : 2mn39s to open this file.
