Description maartentenvelden 2021-05-11 13:46:36 UTC
Description:
What happened?
With e.g. a line shape selected, if trying to change e.g. the fill color of that line, the cursor remains a "grab hand" when moving over the "color selection box". If pressing the "color selection box", the element behind the "properties window" is selected and the properties window changes to the properties window for the newly selected element.

NOTE: I am using a non-english version of LibreOffice, so I am not sure if all translates well here.

What I expect to happen..
if hovering over the properties window, "collision" with shapes is not possible.

NOTE: I am not sure if OpenGL is enabled, but under "Extra -> Opties... -> LibreOffice -> Beeld" I saw that a checkbox to use hardware acceleration for displaying images was checked.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create some shapes
2. Zoom in (make sure that one or more shapes are behind the properties window
3. Try to edit a property via the properties window for the selected shape.

Actual Results:
See the description.

Expected Results:
See the description.

Reproducible: Sometimes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

CONFIRMED on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and LibreOffice 6.4.7.2

Version: 6.4.7.2
Build ID: 639b8ac485750d5696d7590a72ef1b496725cfb5
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3;
Locale: en-IN (en_IN); UI-Language: en-US
Calc: threaded

Properties bar on RHS gives correct results but when right-clicking on the shape and going to 'edit style', the changes don't occur on the selected shape. eg I also used a line and tried to change its color, it didn't change by the 2nd method.

Dear maartentenvelden,

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present with the latest version of LibreOffice from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a comment that includes the information from Help - About LibreOffice.

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not
appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:
1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3) from https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to 'inherited from OOo';
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add 'regression' to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: https://web.libera.chat/?settings=#libreoffice-qa
