Description john 2021-05-13 20:03:43 UTC
There is no way to hide hidden paragraphs that were produced by BASE
1. Menue > View: there is no entry for "hiding paragraphs", as it should by your (german) documentation, and in general.
2. Option > LO Writer > format aids: the entry "hidden paragraphs" is not available as it should by your (german) documentation, and in general.

3. Missing viewing option when inserting BASE-fields: in most cases you only want to see the tables and their fields - I would therefore suggest to how the long lists of "information.schema, performance schema, phpmyadmin.pms, and mysql" only as options.

Thanks for looking into it.
John.

John, tank you for reporting the bug.
> There is no way to hide hidden paragraphs that were produced by BASE
Could you please add a sample document, as that makes it easier to verify the bug.

> 1. Menue > View: there is no entry for "hiding paragraphs", as it should by
> your (german) documentation, and in general.
Could you please specify: Is it the german BASE documentation? Which side?

> 2. Option > LO Writer > format aids: the entry "hidden paragraphs" is not
> available as it should by your (german) documentation, and in general.
Again please specify: Is it the german BASE documentation? Which side?

Sorry, I wasn't informed earlier via email, or I missed it.
Now I am using Version: 7.2.2.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 02b2acce88a210515b4a5bb2e46cbfb63fe97d56
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 6.1 Service Pack 1 Build 7601; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: de-DE
Calc: threaded

Regarding:
Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice Writer -> View -> Display Fields -> Hidden Paragraphs

>> There is no LibreOffice Writer in my Option - it just says LibreOffice
>> There is no Display Fields at View - just Symbolstyle, etc.

I would be very happy to completly switch to LibreOffice, but the Interfaces to mysql should work properly, als the hidden paragraphs in adressfields.

Thanks
John

Please have a look again at Tools => Options. You can see the following main entries:
LibreOffice
Load/Save
LanguageSettings
LibreOffice Writer -> View
...

The attachment shows what I get after following your instructions. I can't see any LibreOffice Writer entry. It only shows LibreOffice Base. Sorry!

Very strange. Could you please retest in SafeMode (Help -> Restart in Safemode)

PS: How should I handle a failing database connection on account of a timezone problem?

You should use ask.libreoffice.org for that question (I don't know the answer).
