Did you first left click to mark and then right click? Likely NotABug.
Nope. Just choose "Text box" and after that create table

You need to left click in a cell to see cursor and then right click to delete. So this is NotABug. You may follow bug 117484 if you find it necessary. There are various free screencast software available for use, including Camstudio (Windows), Jing (Mac), Simple Screen Recorder (Linux) or screencast-o-matic.com (Web).
