Description David W. Snow 2021-06-07 17:10:40 UTC
Description:
Charts in Writer and Calc use color to identify items. When printed on a black & white printer or Xerox'd they become useless. Adding texture to the lines, bars, etc. would make them more readable.

Steps to Reproduce:
Create a chart. Xerox it in black & White
See how unclear it actually is

Actual Results:
All the bars look similar in B&W

Expected Results:
See attached example of what I think a Chart should look like.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
See attached example of what I think a Chart should look like.

But you can use Bitmaps, Patterns and Hatches instead simple color filling. Possibly it's a good solution for you?

You can find it in Area tab in Data series dialog (you should right-click on your series on the chart and select Format Data Series)

Please try it and give us a feedback
