Screenshot of the Filter navigator window/popup on a form

LO 7.1.4.2, Windows 10 home. How do you stop the "Filter navigator" window/popup appearing when you do a filter on a form in LO Base?
Comment 1 Robert Großkopf 2021-06-17 14:27:17 UTC
You are using the for based filter. If you start the filter the "Filter navigator" must be started for defining the filter in detail.

Example: You want to know all people in you database, who are over 14 years and can't swim. You have to connect 2 fields by "AND". This is only possible with the filter navigator.

If you start the form based filter there will appear three buttons: "Apply Form-Based Filter", "Filter Navigation" and "Close". You could switch off the "Filter navigator" by "Filter Navigation" …

Ok, can it be dragged to a position of the users choosing and always appears in that position for that form. Currently it appears top left of form, and has to be closed or moved if the user want to use a field(s) covered by the window/popup for each filter.

The only possibility is to set the width and the height of the dialog in LO.

Here, on Linux with KDE, I could set special features (like the position for opening a dialog) by clicking with right mousebutton on the title bar of the dialog. It isn't implemented in LO.

By right click on the window/popup I was able to adjust the size of the window to very small, so it doesn't cover any text or fields on the form.

So I will close this bug to WORKSFORME.
