Description: Problem last week with 7.0.3 crashing. Deleted it completely and installed 7.1.3. Still crashes every time I close the app. This includes when restarting in safe mode and when closing safe mode. I have reset to factory settings and reset the user profile. A number of crash reports have been uploaded. This appears to be the case with any spreadsheet, including a new, unchanged one. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open an .ods file 2. Close calc 3. Actual Results: Crash report appears, with offer to recover file if it was changed, even if it was saved. The ._lock file remains in the folder. The Libreoffice process is still present in Task Manager. Expected Results: Calc should have shut down. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: Yes Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-GB Module: safemode [Information guessed from browser] OS: Windows (All) OS is 64bit: no

Your user profile shows you have an AssistiveTechnolgyTool enabled. That is consistent with resolved duplicate bug 141769 which has been patched on nightlies for master, a future 7.1.5 release, and the current 7.2.0 beta-- please retest.
Disabling assistive technology tool does not stick - it come back the next time the program is opened. Is it possible to disable it by editing the profile directly? I have installed 7.2.0 Beta, and the problem appears to be resolved.

Is it possible to disable it by editing the > profile directly? Hmm, should be able to. registrymodifications.xcu is just a text file. Search for the "EnableATToolSupport" stanza and change its "true" to "false" But I find it reasserts 'true' with LO restart. Have to look at that, something is no longer correct. By design, when the os reports an Assistive Technology is in use--LibreOffice will enter AT mode as configured on the Tools -> Options -> Accessibility dialog. Folks who reported this crash are believed to have had some AT enabled on Windows WDM. The NVDA screen reader would cause it for sure. But for others it is unknown which MS feature is active. I'm thinking possibly Cortana. > I have installed 7.2.0 Beta, and the problem appears to be resolved. OK, that is good. Confirms it is a dupe for you.
Thanks for your help. I suspect Microsoft of doing something on a recent update! I will live with it till 7.1.5 appears - I don't want to work on a beta.
I now find (using 7.1.4.2) that Calc also crashes consistently on Print Preview. This may or may not be the same bug.
