Created attachment 173393 [details] PPTX with Drawings in Slides 1 and 2 In PowerPoint there's a Pen feature with which users can draw during presentation and then save the drawing to the file. The PPTX file attached to this bug report has such drawings in Slides 1 and 2, which can be seen if the file is opened in MS PowerPoint or if you open the PDF file generated by exporting the PPTX file to PDF using MS PowerPoint (see the attached PDF). The problem is that when the PPTX file is opened in LibreOffice Impress nothing gets imported. I think LO still is not capable of importing these drawings.

Still present in LO 7.4 alpha. IMO this feature would be really useful for those using Impress to teach at schools, universities, as well as preparing lecture material. Also the existing pen features in Impress are a bit limited and could be improved. @Heiko, any chance we could add this as one of the possible GSoC projetcs? If so, how can we do it? We have this page with GSoC ideas, but I'm not sure how to go about suggesting new entries to this page. https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Development/GSoC/Ideas#Impress Version: 7.4.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 9d50307b2e1fd26d415539d3ed8624c7a449e45b CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.13; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: pt-BR (pt_BR.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
We had the "100 paper cut" topic where this might fit in. Not sure it will be a project this year as well. And bugs like this should IMO not rely on GSoC projects. The drawings are in ppt/media/image1|2.png
