Description: Content area's like Recent document or the style list are flashing with a high frequency, approx 20 cycles/sec. It seems at random but i think that moving the mouse, or small accidental mouse movements cause the flashing. It seems that each input event causes a display update, while this is not necessary. Ths issue persistes now for several Libre office updates. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to recent ducument 2. Move the mouse 3. Actual Results: The content area flashes with a high frequncy. Expected Results: After returning back to the edit area, and closing the style list, it performs normal. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: [Information automatically included from LibreOffice] Locale: en-US Module: StartModule [Information guessed from browser] OS: Linux (All) OS is 64bit: yes I'm running Debian 9.13

Just installed 7.2.4.1 Yes it still does. I don't know if it is exactly the same but the flashing seems to be triggered by mouse movements. If i do't do anything in the office window, it stops, with a 1..2 sec. lag.
Also no repro. This makes it specific to your system. You may attach a screencast. Otherwise, bug cannot be confirmed, unless it's reproducible for others under some condition.
User Profile Reset: indicates you should try to rename or delete LO user profile folder.
Recently i upgraded Linux debian from 9 to 10. Not reinstall, but upgrade so everything else remained the same. now the issue is gone both with Libre Office 7.2 and 7.3 (which did not start on Debian 9, but now it does) so i now guess it has something to do with the combination of how Libre Office is updating the screen and the video driver which is the one Debian delivers for NVidia. I guess this closes the issue.
