Created attachment 173609 [details] DRAW-window after first inserted image Open LO and create a new DRAW-document. Do nothing else but Insert → Image. Parts of the page-background will disappear, buttons of the left will disappear also. You will get all back when moving with mouse over the positions where buttons should be. You could also move the image to get the background in the main window. Seems this only appears directly after opening DRAW and insert an image. Have tested this after creating one page with DRAW and it won't appear in the next document again. Then closed LO, reopened - and again it looks like the screenshot. Tested with OpenSUSE 15.2 64bit rpm Linux. Version: 7.2.0.1 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 32efc3b7f3a71cfa6a7fa3f6c208333df48656cc CPU threads: 6; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded

Created attachment 173622 [details] So it looks here on OpenSUSE after inserting image in LO 7.3 Could be it is a special refresh-problem for Linux. I could detect it also with the following version: Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 0ce3a9dcc071094121252a286aa88529ee09a4eb CPU threads: 6; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: en-US TinderBox: Linux-rpm_deb-x86_64@86-TDF, Branch:master, Time: 2021-07-15_08:59:24 Calc: threaded It isn't only DRAW specific. When editing a query in a database and choosing a function an error appears. When dialog of the error appears the Query-GUI in the background will lose most of its content.
What if you run from the command line with SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen /path/to/program/soffice
(In reply to Buovjaga from comment #4) > What if you run from the command line with > > SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen /path/to/program/soffice Indeed, will work well. Seems to be a special VCL: kf5 - problem.
no repro in Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: c5ca46e75e28ba4245d8544ca53c71fea87d1bbd CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (ru_RU); UI: en-US Calc: CL Version: 7.2.0.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 32efc3b7f3a71cfa6a7fa3f6c208333df48656cc CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19041; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-US (ru_RU); UI: en-US Calc: CL
