Description Charles Richter 2021-07-22 22:42:35 UTC
Description:
I created a ToC across 2 columns and set the tabs for all the headings I use to 15.0 cm. After saving and closing and reopening the document the ToC remains as a single column.

Sometimes when I update the ToC the tab setting are lost

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Page Layout: A3 Landscape. 2 Columns
2. ToC layout: On second page. all headings used (6) Tab set at 15.0cm and Align right unchecked
3. Save document. Close. Reopen

Actual Results:
ToC reverts back to single column. The tab settings are ok

Expected Results:
ToC should remain in 2 columns

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
Kept the ToC in 2 columns with the Tabs set at the requested 15.0 cms

Could you please attach a demo document with a Toc in order to be easy for us to test this bug?

A demo of my exact document

re: Bug# 143501
Hi there
Thanks for your prompt response.

I have created a demo document from my existing one and attach it as requested.

When you open it you will notice that the ToC is in 1 column even though I saved it as 2 columns. I then have to edit the ToC and reset the tabs for all headings and set the columns to 2 and set all the tabs with Align right unchecked and Tabs for all headings set to 15.0cms. While I keep the document open the ToC remains in 2 columns even when I update it.

When I save the document, close it and reopen it the ToC reverts back to single column but it looks like the tabs remain set although when I Edit the ToC again the tabs get reset to Align right checked and tab spacing reverts to 0.00cm

Am I doing something wrong?

Hope you can help as this is driving me crazy as I have a lot of work to do with this document and am constantly editing it.

Search needed before reporting and confirming.
Most important is that this is DOCX.
