Description: LibreOffice Writer sometimes auto-completes words that contain ß on its own without a way to prevent that, and erroneously at that. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a new document in Writer in German with German dictionary 2. Type the word “Fußgängerzone” 3. Insert a whitespace or a new line and type the word “Fußgängerzone” again. Actual Results: Writer auto-completes the word on its own, and erroneously so; as soon as you are typing the ß after “Fu” it will complete it to “Fugängerzone” (i. e. it will omit the ß). You can’t even type “Fußball” because it will always auto-complete to “Fugängerzone”. Expected Results: It should only suggest the word for completion (by key command) and not complete it on its own without a way to discard the suggestion. Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.1.4.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: a529a4fab45b75fefc5b6226684193eb000654f6 CPU threads: 4; OS: Mac OS X 10.15.7; UI render: default; VCL: osx Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: de-DE Calc: threaded
I can't confirm this with Version: 7.2.0.1 (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 32efc3b7f3a71cfa6a7fa3f6c208333df48656cc CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (de_DE); UI: en-GB Calc: CL Typing "Fuß" autocomplete suggests "Fußgänge" (not common, but O. K.) Typing "Fußgänger" autocomplete suggests "Fußgängerzone" Please make sure, that "Fugängerzone" is not part of your list in Tools => AutoCorrect => Autocorrect Options => Word Completion
