Description: Insertion of super and subscripts - no direct simple selection available for scientific publication. This is a great handicap for this wonderful suite. I am doing it so far by copying a cell and rotating and replacing the Y axis titles. A direct option such as "strike through" or "underline" in fonts option of the title will go a long way Steps to Reproduce: 1.Right click on axis title and select format title 2.Select Font effects - but no sub and superscript 3.Even strike through and underline not working for part of text Actual Results: Only 3 font effects. And that too part of text can not be formatted with chosen effect Expected Results: Part of text not formatted in underlining, strike through, overlining. And no sub and superscript option Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: It should allow even part of text in title, like that of text in a cell

Comment on attachment 174455 [details] Illustration of menus pesented to explain the bugs The insertion of super and sub script is possible by insertion of "special characters" menu under the heading superscripts and subscripts. These are Uni codes based. Though the insertion of sub and superscripts are possible it is quite tedious to find the characters and feed them one by one. The following difficulties and suggestions may be considered for patching. 1. Every time a character is found and inserted we need to come out of the special character menu and enter again to feed the next character. An insert button in the dialog would make it easier. 2. Most of the superscript and subscript letters and symbols are not shown if searched since they have different names. For instance if we search for superscript only 1, 2,3 are shown. However manual feeding of unicodes in the special character dialog brings about the character. 3. All the sub menus including the superscript and subscripts are shown only when we are feeding the special characters in the right click menu of "insert axis title" text box of the dialog. Here the right click brings about special character menu with this option. But after the title is fed, if we want to format and edit the selected axis title, special character menu is not available on right click. But when we invoke it through ALT+insert+Special Character, the dialog is shown but without the superscript and subscript submenu. The submenu list is now partial and incomplete. Suppose if these patches are done before incorporating easy superscript and subscript manipulations from the format menu, it will make lot of students and teachers use charting thru Calc.
