Created attachment 174034 [details] Example file Source: attachment 156910 [details] (bug 129734). But this trimmed down & without font embedding enabled
On pc Debian x86-64 with master sources updated today, I could reproduce this.
@Eike Not sure if you're interest this one too (inspired by bug 137742).
There's nothing wrong with that. The document contains a default paragraph style with <style:text-properties style:use-window-font-color="true" style:font-name="Delius" fo:font-size="15pt" fo:language="es" fo:country="none" style:letter-kerning="false" style:font-name-asian="Delius1" style:font-size-asian="15pt" style:language-asian="zh" style:country-asian="CN" style:font-name-complex="Delius1" style:font-size-complex="15pt" style:language-complex="hi" style:country-complex="IN" fo:hyphenate="false" fo:hyphenation-remain-char-count="2" fo:hyphenation-push-char-count="2"/> note fo:language="es" fo:country="none" so {es} occurring in the language list is *expected*. The style is listed in the Stylist as "Default Paragraph Style" but apparently not applied, see its properties the Language {es} is assigned. However/whoever/whatever ((template) extension?) created that style, the generator of the document is an ancient <meta:generator>LibreOffice/4.3.0.4$Windows_x86 LibreOffice_project/62ad5818884a2fc2e5780dd45466868d41009ec0</meta:generator>
(In reply to Eike Rathke from comment #4) > note fo:language="es" fo:country="none" so {es} occurring in the language > list is *expected*. How hard would it be to make LibreOffice display "Spanish (unspecified)" (or "... (unknown)" or something similar) for situations like this? The ISO code with curly brackets looks really cryptic to an ordinary user.

That's might be a question which can be asked at bug 129734. The 4.3.0.4 version being caused by me :-). I trimmed it down.. while tracing it back.
