Description: If I mark a part of a pdf-imported draw-document consisting of many many vector-graphical elements, libreoffice draw and the the linux desktop environment gets locked. Only chance to kill draw is to change to another terminal (ctrl-alt-Fn) and sigkill libreoffice. This is with an "old / not updated" Manjaro and Mint/uma Libreoffice Versions Manjaro: 6.2 Mint: 6.4.7.2 Steps to Reproduce: 1.opening a pdf in draw 2.selecting a part of the document (Logo next to BOSCH - see attachment) 3. waiting - trying to switch desktops or doing anything else is not working Actual Results: desktop locked Expected Results: waiting a few moments - elements are selected Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No OpenGL enabled: Yes Additional Info: maybe a popup that there are to many objects selected?
Created attachment 174272 [details] First Page of a way to big manual If the logo on top of the page left of the writing "BOSCH" is selected the DE crashes / locks up (including draw)
Would be useful for us to have the document in order to test it. (please remove any confidential data from it). Also would be nice to test yourself on newer versions of LibreOffice, at the moment the newest versions are: 7.1.5 (for echnology enthusiast) and 7.0.6 (more tested). Waiting for more info.
I appended the document as attachment - see attachments. I can't / won't use another version than the one offered in the repos :-) Please check the attachment and description to reproduce the bug. Thanks - Florian
I opened Draw and opened your PDF. If I want to select all the shapes next to Bosch the system is freezing. I had to restart my computer. Confirm with Version: 7.1.5.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 85f04e9f809797b8199d13c421bd8a2b025d52b5 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.11; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
Is hapening also in Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 615a340fcf05845397ea3c9917e2eadf074b4514 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.11; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded, so it is not yest solved.
Much, much better in 7.6. Florian, could you retest? Version: 7.6.0.0.alpha1+ (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: ef106661fcc40cfdd406064cbf73fd62477d0e79 CPU threads: 16; OS: Linux 5.19; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3 Locale: ro-RO (ro_RO.UTF-8); UI: en-US Calc: threaded
