Description: I want to be able to create/insert Formula objects via shortcut (, since I mostly deal with Math documents (homework). The current formula shortcut (F2) is for use inside tables, and not Math formulas. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to "Insert > Object > Formula..." or click on the "sqrt(4)" icon to open the Formula editor in LO Writer 2. Go to "Tools > Customize... > Keyboard" and search for Formula, none of the options available are the Formula editor Actual Results: The "Formula" shortcut (F2) opens a LO Calc like Formula top panel, which is for tables, and not the Formula editor. Expected Results: There should be a "Insert Formula" option available in shortcuts. Created attachment 174479 [details] Screenshot with InsertObjectStarMath in Customize dialog in 7.3 I see Ctrl+Alt+= shortcut inserts a Math object into Writer document and I see the UNO in Customize dialog
There is the same shortcut in 7.2 But there is no predefined shortcut for it in 7.1. But I see the Formula item in Command list in the Customize dialog anyway. Just move the mouse cursor on Formula item and look at tooltip. You should see the same UNO as on my attach. Close as WFM
Created attachment 174488 [details] Screenshot with "Formula" function tooltip in customize shortcuts I don't know what an UNO is, but I used the option "Record macro" and it appeared as "dispatcher.executeDispatch(document, ".uno:InsertObjectStarMath", "", 0, Array())", so it is the same thing, right? The tooltip has advice on how to set a shortcut instead of what is done by the function, and there are two "Formula" functions (I'm fairly certain that there was only one item in my first searches, but since I can't reproduce it this must mean that I overlooked it)
