Description:
In some environments, you can only export XML files. In MS Office, dragging XML onto Excel automatically converts it to a table, but this is not supported under Calc

Steps to Reproduce:

The mapping cell cannot be completed after import. The same XML can be automatically parsed in Excel. Please see the two attached pictures

Mark as a duplicate of bug 146221.

I had a discussion with "dongshili", and we both get empty import result on Windows when using the Data > XML Source function.

IMO, while this had been forced to discuss the import using Data->XML Source (since comment 2), the original request was to allow dragging XML files onto the sheet, which was different.

FTR: The request was to attach a sample *document*, i.e. some XML (which was what you were talking about), which could be used by others to try to imporl locally and reproduce the problem; not images showing what happens on your system. So no, you didn't upload any sample documents yet.

This attachment additionally shows that your XML has an encoding different from UTF-8; and that could make a difference here.
