Description: Insert>TextBox does nothing; Insert>Frame leads to no active choice (all 3 greyed out). Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open insert menu in any Writer file 2.Choose TextBox 3. Actual Results: nothing Expected Results: TextBox opens Reproducible: Always User Profile Reset: No Additional Info: Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x86) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: c820cb429fc3d3eec9bf6596f0a34995cbd93982 CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: en-CA (en_CA); UI: en-US Calc: CL
I cannot confirm the Insert>Frame problem. All three items are active in Version: 7.3.0.0.alpha0+ (x64) / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 3ee22d95d3e1e9ce1d2ff8311e51d600179370f9 CPU threads: 8; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19043; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win Locale: de-DE (en_US); UI: en-US Calc: CL I have problems with Insert>TextBox. When I start to drag-create the text box, then LibreOffice crashes. If I use the same command from the drawing toolbar, then I can drag-create the text box.
(In reply to Regina Henschel from comment #1) > I cannot confirm the Insert>Frame problem. All three items are active ● Yes. Maybe the context, like a frame being selected, disabled the operation. But, in that case, the main-menu item itself should have been deactivated.
Please provide steps to always reproduce.
(In reply to Timur from comment #3) > Please provide steps to always reproduce. ● Open a new Write document; ● open menu Insert>TextBox; ● with the cross-hair cursor, draw the textBox (No bug here; Sorry, I did not know what a textBox is!); ● write ‘Hi’ or anything else in the textBox; ● click the textBox to select it —its 8 handles appear; ● re-open the Insert menu, move cursor to Frame: submenu has 3 inactive choices (greyed out). That's normal —one cannot put a frame inside a textBox, but the choice Frame should have been inactive.
