Description:
Bonjour

Expected Results:
 - proposer automatiquement un nom de fichier PDF
 - créer automatiquement plusieurs fichiers PDF selon le choix indiqué

Reproducible: Always

Wow, Google Translate did an awesome job here. It's exactly correct.

Description:
Hello
Sheets in a workbook have a sheet name
For PDF printing I suggest several options for PDF printing of the selected sheets:
option 1: in a single PDF file:
automatically name the PDF file by the name of the workbook
option 2 one PDF file per sheet: automatically name each PDF file with the same name as that of the sheet

In this case the "print" function automatically generates several PDF files

thank you for your attention

Good day

Actual Results:
Currently printing to PDF produces a single file and you have to manually enter the file name

Expected Results:
  - automatically suggest a PDF file name
  - automatically create several PDF files according to the choice indicated

Repeatable: Always

UX team: this report has two ideas, but maybe you can evaluate them both and then decide whether to accept and split the report?

JBF has a point with his bug 138916 comment 1 at the similar request for Writer.

What is the "name of the workbook"? The current default choice of name is the file's base name (e.g. "foo" for /path/to/foo.ods). Why is that not good?

Auto-translation:

> option 2 one PDF file per sheet: automatically name each PDF file with the

I didn't realize we could do that... how does one save one file per sheet? Or do you mean when just exporting a single sheet to a PDF?

Assuming the actual ask is: "When exporting from within a single sheet, use sheet name as the default filename in the filename selection dialog box" - I support this, although I don't mind the current situation either.

We discussed the topic in the design meeting.

The suggestion to automatically pick a file name would contradict the decision for the document name. It might be sensitive info and is usually not suited for a document name. So here the verdict is WF.

Regarding the idea to automatically create several PDF files it could be a checkbox below "All" with the label "[ ] Individual files for every sheet", or the like. But the option should be off the default. The documents could be named according the given name plus the worksheet label, for example Untitled_1_Sheet1.pdf.
