Description Arnaldo 2021-09-13 11:05:04 UTC
Description:
I have a model to make quotations that uses links to an address book and a price list.
Making a new file: all functions using a link give the correct result.

I have changed some functions in the model.

Now if I edit an existing file, some function results in some rows give #VALUE as result and other rows not.

I have 50 rows in the quote and, of course, SEARCH.VALUE have correct references.

On opening to edit, a pop-up informs me that the mode has change and lets me choose between "Keep old styles" and "Update styles" (sorry translated from Italian) and I do not understand why this happens.

No matter what I choose, error persists.

Actual Results:
See description.

Expected Results:
Correct result while editing.

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

Additional Info:
See description.

some reporter writes that some functions don't work...guessing that some folks at LO will somehow guess what it is about?

You need to attach minimal sample and write exact steps with that sample.

Hi!

I've made a new file today using the model and all is OK.
No changes in model.

Opening to edit:
- "Automatic link update disabled" message
- some cells have #VALUE!
- "Update OK" button in the message bar
- all is correct

I have Java 1.8.0_301.

Furthermore:
- model has seven different sheets
- errors are in the first sheet that has not been changed in the model

Can someone explain why the pop-up message of "changed styles" appears if I open a file for editing after changing/adding some formula in the model?

What's the difference between the two options given?

Will attach .png what happened in "Opening to edit".

This doesn't look like a proper bug with sample and steps:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/BugReport
If you can write reproducible steps and attach sample, status should be Unconfirmed.

Here is no place to help, for that you should use ask.libreoffice.org.

I've added the files.

Data are confidential.

For me it's not a help request (creating a new file all is OK), but a bug as errors only if editing existing file after changing/adding a formula in the model file even if these are not affecting formulas with an error as result.

I have set paths in "Macro security".

Still keeps asking update Yes/No new styles even with no model change in the meantime. These neither clicking on "Update" nor "Keep".

Hope to get an answer.

Files in bugzilla are accessible for everyone.

Links in your file are in exact paths D:\... , so cannot test in Linux.

"some function results in some rows give #VALUE" - do you mean sheet "Prev", cell L32?
