I think I already saw the same request, but I couldn't find it

I agree with this enhancement and set it to NEW

And I added UX-team just in case =)

Yes, sounds reasonable. It probably wasn't done before because styles in Impress/Draw are of limited use. Would be different with bug 40871, "Impress and Draw should support character styles (and maybe more paragraph styles?)"
