Let's start by adding the info from "Help >> About LibreOffice" to this report. In the meantime, you can try: SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen soffice

I've set the report to NEEDINFO, so please reset this report to UNCONFIRMED when you provide the requested information.

- What OS are you using?
- Are you using Wayland or X11?
- Which LO packages are you using (distro or TDF download)?
- Please test, if starting LO as "SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen soffice" from the terminal fixes your problem. Please verify, that "Help >> About LO" contains "VCL: x11" and not the previous "VCL: gtk3".
- What happens if you start LO with a fresh user profile using -env:UserInstallation=file:///tmp/test?
- If you're not using the TDF build, please try a parallel install
  - https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel
  - There are also newer 7.2 and daily builds: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/QA/Testing_Daily_Builds

There are bug 139491 and bug 144033, which may be related. These are both still open.

Let's see, if we can at least find some setup, that is working for you.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

There now two problems :

1):How to change gtk3 in x11 in the "Help>>About LO" ( and previously :what are gtk3 ,x11 or Wayland ?) ?

2): I'm using Ubuntu 20.4, but I dont know anything about command line instructions, I always use graphic interface for all uses : I'm not a geek, only a basic user 😉 !

best regards

JM

Hello,
As I whrite before, Im just a basic user.
Near after my last comment, I try thant I have had to do at the beginnig : uninstall and re-install all the modules of LO 7.2.
It was the right way : all il OK nox.
Thank you so much for the time you lost about me

Just open a terminal and start LO via "SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen soffice" without the quotes. Then VCL should be x11. LO has several plugins for different desktop environments. x11 (= gen) is the generic fallback, which should almost work anywhere on Linux. gtk3 ~= Gnome, kf5 ~= KDE. There are others for other operating systems (win, osx, android, ios, etc).

Wayland is an Alternative to X11.
