This problem remains at least since LibreOffice 5 with Debian 9 and continued with LibreOffice 6 with Debian 10 and now with LibreOffice 7 with Debian 11

Comment 5 Octavio Alvarez 2021-10-04 19:26:16 UTC
I also see the indicated behavior:

Version: 7.2.1.2 (x64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 87b77fad49947c1441b67c559c339af8f3517e22
CPU threads: 4; OS: Windows 10.0 Build 19042; UI render: Skia/Raster; VCL: win
Locale: en-US (en_US); UI: es-ES
Calc: threaded

Pasting as text without formatting gives the expected behavior. However, this may be inconvenient for copying text with character formatting like bold or subscripts.
