Description: When I open LibreOffice Calc I often get a "tip of the day" for writer and vice versa. I would prefer a tip that fits to the application that I opened. Reasons: It would improve the usability if the "tip of the day" would apply to the application, which the user opened. * Because the user can read a tip that fits to the application, * Because the user can try the tip if it fits his needs while working. The user will memorize the tip even better. * If someone uses Writer only, he/she would not need tips for Calc/Impress etc. * In my opinion, it is annoying, when LibreOffice shows irrelevant tips. IMHO this is a usability bug, but I choose "Enhancement" instead of "Normal" Severity. Please change this if you find it necessary. (I'm using a translation. Maybe the retranslated phrases like "tip of the day" could be slightly different.) Thanks a lot for all the great work for LibreOffice Kindest Regards Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure you have the option "Show dialog 'tip of the day'" activated in Extras > Options > LibreOffice > General 2. Open Calc (or an other application) for the first time of the day 3. The "Tip of the day" is shown. Sometimes it apply to the application you opened. If necessary, click "next tip" to find some hints that belongs to other application. Actual Results: Sometimes it apply to the application you opened, sometimes not. Expected Results: The "tip of the day" should apply to the opened application (writer, calc, impress etc.). When I open Calc directly, tips for Writer or Impress should be skipped until these apps are opened. This has been asked for in bug 127294. The module-specific tip is blocked by the need for a reasonable amount of different tips for each module. Besides the question whether or not a tip should be shown per day and module. But please discuss this on the other bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 127294 ***
