Description Colin 2021-10-08 07:42:48 UTC
Description:
If data in the middle column of three columns is selected and the "sort" button on the toolbar is activated then it automatically extends the selection to the surrounding columns. However, if the "current selection" button is chosen in the "sort range" popup it automatically assumes ascending is required and executes an ascending sort. There is no further interaction permitting the selection of a custom sort list or simply descending sort order.

Steps to Reproduce:
See attached image and .ods
Select the "full on" toolbar sort button NOT A-Z or Z-A
Define the "current selection"
Now try to tell it descending or custom sort list
If I wanted to go to heaven (or the other place), there are two perfectly functional specific sort buttons

Actual Results:
Ascending order sort on the chosen column

Expected Results:
Ability to define a sort order or custom sort list

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: Yes

OpenGL enabled: Yes

For the avoidance of doubt, the inference is that I don't want to impact the surrounding data by the sort of the selected data column
