Open a database. Create a table in design mode, not with the wizard. Add a field and set the field type to another type as the default type. Add a second field and also change the field type for this field. In most cases the cursor has been gone after this action and you can't add a third field without some tricky workarounds. You have to click with right mouse button on the row header and then go back to the third field. All tested with Version: 7.2.2.2 / LibreOffice Community Build ID: 02b2acce88a210515b4a5bb2e46cbfb63fe97d56 CPU threads: 6; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: kf5 (cairo+xcb) Locale: de-DE (de_DE.UTF-8); UI: de-DE Calc: threaded on OpenSUSE 15.2 64bit rpm Linux. Bug will also appear on LO 7.2.0.3 and won't appear on LO 7.1.5.2. Could be the same reason as bug 145084
Seems to be a problem in whole LO 7.2. Have just edited a Writer document and switched the styles of some text - and the cursor has been gone. Right mouse click for getting a context menu and the cursor is there again. Switched the component to UI to refelect this. Hope it is the right component.
I have been getting this for a while in writer with LO 7.2.5.1 on OpenSUSE Leap 15.3. Click the mouse out of the document and back in and presto the cursor is back at the mouse. I have this occur after various edit functions (select and delete, style update) but it is not 100% reproducible. I also suspect there is some effect from having multiple writer docs open for edit at one time. With one document open yesterday it didn't happen, today with 3 documents open it happened every 30-60s while editing.
I remember such a cursor disappearance issue with KDE before, but it was fixed. Do you still see this with 7.5? Set to NEEDINFO. Change back to UNCONFIRMED, if the problem persists. Change to RESOLVED WORKSFORME, if the problem went away.

Seems the bug has been gone since LO 7.3.0.3 here. Couldn't reproduce it any more with LO 7.3.0.3 and newer versions like LO 7.4.5.1. I will set this one to WORKSFORME
